The federal Medicaid program is called Medi-Cal in California. Medi-Cal provides a variety of health coverage programs for disabled Californians.
Applicants may qualify for Medi-Cal in one or more eligibility categories. Some of these categories are described below.
SSI-Linked Medi-Cal
Californians who qualify for
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
automatically qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal health coverage.

Based on income, you may qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal health coverage.
